Early Intervention Scholarship Fund
In addition to providing the funding for a majority of the EI budget. The Candle Lighters donate an additional $10,000 in scholarship money for families who are not able to afford their contribution to the program.
Camp Hope
The Candle Lighters provide various funding to The Arc of Essex County's Camp Hope summer program. Over the years we have donated funds for camper transportation and general funds for camp.
Therapy and Sensory Room
In 2015 The Candle Lighters provided the majority of funds to build out a new therapeutic and sensory room for the infants, toddlers, and students of Stepping Stones Early Intervention and School.
Stepping Stones
Throughout each school year, The Candle Lighters provide funding for various school functions and meals, such as Fall Festival, holiday parties and holiday gifts for all the children. In addition we have donated items such as cameras, vacuums, toys and books to the school.

Special Programming
The Candle Lighters have provided additional funding for programs for EI, School and alumni families. These have included a reading program "Special Reads for Special Needs" by Natalie Hale, including purchasing all the materials for the families and alumni.
what we do
Early Intervention
Each year The Candle Lighters donate a minimum of $80,000 for the Stepping Stones Early Intervention (EI) program. EI provides critical therapy for infants and toddlers with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities as well as provide counseling for their families.
